Las sesiones de grabación para la banda tuvieron lugar en el Studio B RCA de Nashville, Tennessee a fines de septiembre de 1963, pero Elvis no estuvo presente. Sin embargo, entraría en el MGM Sound Stage - Hollywood, California, el 10 de octubre de 1963 para grabar. Debido a que Elvis no grabó con la banda en el estudio, solo hay una pequeña cantidad de outtakes, pero el álbum incluirá los masters instrumentales grabados en el estudio B a finales de septiembre.
